Mineral Stains Warranty
What kind of warranty does Mineral Stains offer?
Mineral Stains offers a 20-year warranty on exterior masonry stain products and a 1-year warranty on labor, provided the installation is completed by our approved installers. Unfortunately, we do not accept any refunds. All sales are final! Any items that are damaged due to shipping, we will re-send another order, pending actual damages caused by shipper, (UPS or Fed Ex).
**Warranty Conditions**
The warranty is valid only when a certified technician is present during the installation. We cannot assume liability under the following conditions:
- Primer is not applied properly or is omitted.
- Mortar is failing and needs replacement.
- The masonry substrate is non-absorbent.
- The pH moisture level exceeds product specifications.
- Excessive water is present in the masonry (repair recommended before staining).
- Potassium silicate stains have a maximum moisture tolerance of 10%.
- When salt is added in common areas, during winter, The sodium and chloride ions from the dissolved salt can interact with the potassium silicate in the coating, potentially forming sodium silicate and potassium chloride, which may weaken the coating's integrity.
- Cement stains have a maximum moisture tolerance of 15%.
- Stains/paints are diluted beyond the maximum allowable 10% dilution rate for masonry stains.
- The masonry has been treated with acid-based treatments or silicone.
- Accelerators and waterproofing agents have been added to the mortar mix.
- Improper downspout/gutter systems or lack of drip edges may lead to water streaks over time. This is not caused by the failure of our product but rather by inadequate water protection.
Mineral Stains LLC (“Mineral Stains”) warrants interior and exterior coatings purchased only to those Covered Persons at https://mineralstains.com/ (the “Product”) to be free from defects in workmanship. The Limited Warranty claimant must provide proof that he, she, or it is a Covered Person . If the Product, when applied according to paint specifications and label instructions, peels, blisters, or substantially fades from exposure to sunlight within 15 years from the date of purchase, Mineral Stains shall, at its own discretion, replace the defective Product free of charge. Such replacement is subject to verification of the defect or malfunction and presentation of proof of purchase of the Product to Mineral Stains. (Warranty applies only if our certified technician is the applicator or our consulting technician is onsite to verify surface area, moisture content, condition of masonry and application of product is verified.
This Limited Warranty does not apply to any defect or damage that is caused by (1) negligence, accident, abuse, or misuse of the Product; (2) improper surface preparation or any defects or shortcoming (water damage, moisture beyond 10%, existing sealer or waterproofing agent) of the substrate to which the Product is applied; (3) poor or improper storage (below 32 or above 90 degrees), transportation, application, use, care, or maintenance of the Product; (4) normal wear and tear or unauthorized use of the Product; (5) unauthorized application of, or modification to, the Product; and (6) unsatisfactory color due to personal preference. This Limited Warranty may not be transferred or assigned. This is your sole remedy under this Warranty.
Mineral Stains’ entire liability shall be limited exclusively to providing replacement Product. This Warranty excludes (1) labor and costs associated with labor for the application or removal of any Product and (2) any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
