In this video, we outline two effective techniques for applying brick and masonry stain with a brush.
The color used in this demonstration is Black Grey, applied with Mineral Stains’ Masonry Stain.
We start with the traditional method using a 2-inch medium-bristle Purdy brush, which is excellent for detailed, controlled work. This was the main focus of our first video.
Next, we show the Pro Edge paint pad, a faster alternative that’s ideal for smooth surfaces and offers precise control.
Finally, we demonstrate how to use the Sherwin-Williams Contractor Series mini smooth roller. This technique is especially useful with darker stains, ensuring a smooth, streak-free finish while helping to conserve stain for an even, professional look.
